The Group values education and encourages young people to pursue lifelong learning. To this end, SHKP provides scholarships and internship opportunities, and supports youth development programmes to nurture the next generation of leaders.
Scholarships
The Group is committed to nurturing future leaders by supporting higher education through a variety of scholarship initiatives. These include the SHKP x PolyU Building Homes with Heart Scholarship Programme, run in collaboration with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the SHKP-Kwoks’ Foundation/CUHK – Local Students Scholarships, offered in partnership with The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The Foundation has also established scholarships at over 20 mainland universities helping outstanding students from low-income backgrounds in pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Furthermore, SHKP offers scholarships to staff children pursuing higher education.
Supporting Underprivileged Students Through the Strive and Rise Programme
SHKP serves as a strategic partner of the government’s Strive and Rise Programme. Each year, around 200 staff members volunteer as mentors, helping young students develop and implement personal development plans that unlock their potential and broaden their horizons.
Internship and Employment Programmes
The Group participates in the government’s youth employment and internship schemes. Under the Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme, participants receive initial training before taking up diverse roles across SHKP offices in the Greater Bay Area. Additionally, through the Scheme on Corporate Summer Internship on the Mainland and Overseas, the Group offers internship placements in in SHKP mall leasing and promotion teams for young people.
Moreover, the Group's Executive Trainee Programme and Management Trainee Programme provide graduates with cross-departmental exposure and professional skill development, helping them build a solid foundation for their career and supporting long-term growth. For students, the Group’s summer internship programme – together with additional internship opportunities offered by SHKP’s construction division, Sanfield, and its property management companies, Kai Shing and Hong Yip – provide practical workplace experience and valuable networking opportunities.
