Regarding the recent incidents in New Town Plaza, SHKP has a further statement as follows:

Visitors to show flats for the three developments will receive HK$100 Royal Garden dining coupons.

There will be carnivals at Aegean Coast this Thursday and Sunday (May 8 and 11) in the estate's Roman Square. The extensive range of interesting attractions to entertain the whole family will include a cooking demonstration by a famous chef, parent-child dance, health advice and more.

Aegean Coast is a joint development by the Luk Hoi Tong Company, Henderson Land and Sun Hung Kai Properties, with flats starting from HK$1,600 per square foot and rebates of up to 20% of the first mortgage, from the developers in conjunction with Wing Hang Bank and ICBC (Asia). This is a low-density development in a prime location on Castle Peak Road that is laid out in a linear pattern, with open space in front and behind to allow gentle breezes to flow through and offer residents a fresh, clean living environment.

You Set the Price package extended to The Parcville

The You Set the Price package has been extended to The Parcville, to make buying a new home easier. The Parcville is a joint development by Sun Hung Kai Properties and New World Development. It has 14 low-density residential blocks between 13 to 15 storeys and a total of 1,618 units ranging from 606 to 919 square feet, with nine-foot ceilings and 80% efficiency.

Both have been popular with the market. Park Central is a joint project by Sun Hung Kai Properties, Henderson Land, the Chinachem Group and Nan Fung Development.

The Easy Move mortgage is an exclusive arrangement with Wing Hang Bank that offers buyers a two-year, no-interest payment plan at rates as low as prime-2.6% for the whole term. Park Central has 11 residential blocks in two phases, offering units with two bedrooms, three bedrooms or three bedrooms and en suite, ranging from over 500 to more than 900 square feet. The efficiency rate is above 80%. The development also has a deluxe clubhouse with comprehensive facilities and a landscaped garden covering 250,000 square feet.

SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation and Nanjing University sign memorandum of understanding for new phase of scholarship programme
Nanjing University grants honorary trustee in recognition of the Foundation's support and care for over a decade

The SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation has supported talented students in their studies and promoted education across the country over the years. The Foundation has joined hands with various institutions to establish a host of scholarship schemes in order to help outstanding students from disadvantaged families pursue their undergraduate studies for a more positive and knowledge-based future. The Foundation has completed two phases of scholarship programme at Nanjing University since 2006. Upon completion of the new phase (the third phase), a total of 3,000 students will be benefitted with aggregate donations reaching approximately HK$16 million.

At a recent appointment and signing ceremony held by the Foundation, Nanjing University Party Committee Secretary Hu Jinbo granted a certificate of appointment of honorary trustee to Amy Kwok, Executive Director of SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation, in recognition of her long-standing contributions made to Nanjing University as well as her support in charity work.

Amy Kwok and Hu Jinbao then signed a memorandum of understanding for the third phase of the scholarship programme. Nanjing University has long placed great emphasis on the personal development of students and encouraged them to actively participate in charity activities. Apart from providing underprivileged students with financial aid, the third phase of the programme also allocates funds for student activities in support of the Nanjing University SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation Scholarship Alumni Association.  This helps motivate students to engage in the community and enrich their school life experience.

Amy Kwok said, 'Since 2002, the SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation has committed to nurturing talented individuals across the country by offering financial assistance to promising students from disadvantaged families. Nanjing University is one of the top institutions listed on the country's "Double First-Class Initiative", which is an outstanding accomplishment. I am very pleased that our collaboration with the University has resulted in batches and batches of beneficiaries graduated year after year, including those who have won scholarships to renowned local or overseas universities for further studies. Some graduates have joined the civil service to serve the country, while others found employment at large corporations. Our Group is developing several projects in the Yangtze River Delta and requires a great deal of talented individuals. On this issue, we look forward to further exchanges with the University in the future.'

Hu Jinbao expressed his gratitude to the SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation for the generosity and continuous donation over a decade. Pledged to the mission of life influencing life, the University is indeed grateful for having a partner who gives unfailing commitment. In the third phase of the scholarship programme, the University will continue to nurture a new generation of talent upholding integrity for the country's future development.

Over the past 16 years, the SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation has established and sponsored more than 60 projects in support of education, healthcare, culture, international exchanges, cultural heritage preservation and research as well as programmes for the needy. Over 10,000 people across more than 20 provinces have been benefitted from these programmes while total donations exceed RMB700 million.

SHKP supports Earth Hour for 11th straight year with over 300 properties taking part to conserve energy

Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP) joined in the worldwide Earth Hour for the 11th straight year. The Group has been one of the corporations with the highest participation by mobilizing more than 300 properties taking part in the event this year, showing its commitment to promoting healthy and sustainable living. Over the 11 years, the number of participated properties under the Group has been increased by more than two folds, including its territory-wide residential estates, shopping malls, offices and industrial buildings.

In support of Earth Hour, the World Wide Fund worldwide environmental protection campaign, SHKP showed its commitment to sustainable development by mobilizing over 300 commercial and industrial buildings, shopping malls and residential estates managed by its subsidiaries, including Hong Yip Service Co. Ltd. and Kai Shing Management Services Limited, to switch off their lights for an hour on the night of 30 March, in order to conserve energy.

The SHKP properties taking part once again in the event included the city's tallest skyscraper the International Commerce Centre (ICC), which has implemented green management and was the first building to obtain the 'BEAM Plus Existing Buildings V2.0' Platinum Certificate. Another Earth Hour participant was the Kowloon Commerce Centre (KCC), which received the first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) gold certification in Hong Kong. Other major developments showing their support for this cause included the Group’s headquarters Sun Hung Kai Centre, Mikiki, which won the Hanson Outstanding Award last year in the shopping mall category at the Energy Saving Championship organized by the Environment Bureau and Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, plus Landmark North and Aegean Coast, both of which received the gold award at the 2017 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence in the Property Management categories (Commercial & Industrial) and (Residential) respectively. Grand YOHO, gold award winner in the Large-scale Domestic Property (properties below six years of age) category at the Best Landscape Award 2018 organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, also took part in Earth Hour.

In addition to developing premium properties and providing excellent services, SHKP puts into practice its belief in Building Homes with Heart by actively fulfilling social responsibilities while giving back to the community through optimization of its resources and networks. For example, a scheme jointly launched by SHKP and Green Power in 2011, the Love Nature Campaign combines elements of learning and appreciation with outdoor exploration. The campaign aims to encourage the younger generation to care for nature and deepen students' and the public's understanding of the environment through activities such as eco-tours and beach clean-ups. To date over 30,000 kg of waste and recyclables have been collected while more than 50 school visits and eco-tours for kindergarten and primary school students have been conducted. Last year, SHKP went further by launching Hong Kong's first free countryside and beach clean-up mobile app Nature Rescue, an information and social networking platform that mobilizes even more members of the public to participate in nature protection activities.

See SHKP's latest Sustainability Report at www.shkp.com for details about the Group's initiatives and events to promote sustainable development.
